Future Educators Academy
In this dual-enrollment program, the students spend part of their school day at Germanna Community College (GCC) taking extensive education classes, culminating with an Associate in Education at the time of their high school graduation at RCHS. Afterward, the students will attend either James Madison University or Mary Washington University free of charge to complete their Bachelor of Education degree and licensure in either Elementary Education or Special Education. Once equipped with teaching credentials, they will gain valuable classroom experience and guaranteed employment by teaching for at least two years at one of the four participating counties: Rappahannock, Culpeper, Madison, and Orange. Not only does the grant-based program provide quality education for future teachers, but it also helps to address the critical shortage of educators that affects rural counties. While this cohort will remain at Germanna till graduation, students entering into the program in 2025 will enroll at Laurel Ridge Community College. To learn more, visit the Laurel Ridge website.

HVAC Trades Academy
As a dual-enrollment program offered in collaboration between Laurel Ridge Community College and RCHS, participating seniors split their time between the LRCC Warrenton Campus and the Rappahannock County High School. Throughout the semester, the students learn core HVAC skills such as safety, wiring, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting throughout this hybrid class, incorporating online modules and hands-on time in the classroom and lab. Upon successfully completing the course, students will be awarded two nationally recognized credentials through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) in Core Craft Skills and HVAC Level 1, which will help them obtain employment in the workforce following high school graduation.
